While working at the Stuttgart-based creative agency Kniff, I and my colleague Franziska Dembczyk came up with the idea for my own children’s book. What began as an internal initiative was actively supported by the agency’s management – with time, space, and trust.

We developed the story together – humorous, quirky, and full of childlike curiosity. I was commissioned to create the illustrations. With loving details and a wink, a visual world was created around Fred, the little explorer who isn’t afraid of big questions (and little farts).

„Fred Furzforscher“ is a book about research, wonder, and letting go – in the best sense of the word.
